Easter Fun!!!!!

We went up to Bear Lake over Easter break....way fun....not so relaxing. Scotland and Sweden both decided it would be fun to whine and cry the whole time. However, there were fun moments where they were adorable. Here is Swedie with her new favorite toy....an empty water bottle...why we buy them expensive toys, who knows??? Notice the bruise on her forehead...she is always way to brave and climbs up on things and then falls. She is a wild one. Here is Scotland at the park in Garden City climbing the rock wall. She almost made it to the top, but decided she would be a baby and cry. Whats new??? Ha Ha Ha

Here is Scotland opening the eggs from our Easter egg hunt at the cabin. We did this one on Saturday and then we had our actual egg hunt Easter morning at home.

Swedie checking out her singing/hopping bunny that she got from the easter bunny...she loved it.

Swedie found an egg up at the cabin. She is so dang cute.

Swedie on the swing...she loves this.

The Easter Bunny made quite an enterance at our house. He left FLOUR footprints all over the kitchen. Scotland loved this.

Scotland finding eggs and candy around the house.

Easter baskets. Scotland got a new ballet outifit, Thumbelina Barbie movie, Singing microphone, and some other princess and bunny stuff. Swedie got treats, a singing bunny, a chick that chirps and a bendy bunny. Not to mention tons and tons of candy. SO FUN!!!!!

Sweden checking out her Easter basket.

Riding in the wagon Sunday night. It was such a nice day that we went to the park and then came home and played in the wagon. Horray for good weather.

Whaaa, next time I'll get a disposable.
- Brandon

ELECTRONICS SUCK!!!!

I have been wanting to post something on my blog for awhile now.....Anything at this point!!!! However, Brandon bought this new GINORMOUS camera...that I can't work. It is a Canon EOS 50D. Yeah, I know, sounds complicated.....it is even more complicated to work. I really wanted a nice camera, but I also wanted to be able to turn it on. I can't even get that far. Not to mention the fact that it weighs about 10,000 pounds. You HAVE TO wear it around your neck or you might drop it....and heaven forbid you drop the mortgage payment of a camera. Needless to say I am somewhat bitter about the purchase and wish that I was more camera savvy. So until I can figure out the dang thing or take a class or have Brandon take pics, I am pretty much not posting pictures of my darling little babes. So for all you out there who are wishing for a really nice camera....just enjoy the one you have....that you can actually find the power button on!!!! Now that I have vented, I am going to try to figure this stupid thing out.

WARNING...RSV Season is still in full swing!!!!
I am pretty sure that the only thing worse than a sick baby, is two sick babies. Both my girls have RSV....so it has been a week from hell. I feel so bad for them. I wish more than anything that I could make them feel better. The doc said that they would be contagious until they stopped coughing, which would be anywhere from 10-14 days. This is a major inconvienence due to the fact that me and Bran both work and take the kids to daycare. Thank goodness we have great family to help us out. We are so lucky that neither of the girls have to be hospitalized. They have a machine that sucks them out and then Sweden had a breathing treatment yesterday....but the doc said that it didn't do anything. So I guess that we wait it out. On the bright side, they are starting to sleep better at night. At first it was horrible, but now they are only waking up a few times a night. So warning to all you mothers out there.....RSV season is not over.

Kids!!!!

It is amazing how kids can be so dang cute one moment and then the next they are making you lose your freaking mind. Scotland has been on a rollercoaster of emotions lately. She has been REALLY whiney and crys about everything. But then she can turn around and say "Do you still love me mommy? Even when I do naughty things?" Then my heart seriously breaks into a million pieces. Just the thought of her thinking that I wouldn't love her....tugs on my heart strings. Because of her emotions lately, every night is pretty much a nightmare at our house.....getting Scotland to go to bed is rediculous. I hate the "mom, I need to go potty. Mom, I need a drink. Mom, my blanket isn't straight. Mom, I am hot. Mom, now I am cold" This whole routine makes me crazy. I am sure that someday I will look back and miss these times, but right now I dread them. Tonight Scotland did the same routine, but when she said her prayers she said the funniest thing. She finished and then she said "Mom, we need to say another prayer." When I asked her why, she said "Because that was the opening prayer, and now we need to say the closing prayer." I just laughed and we proceeded to say the "closing prayer". Sometimes I get so worked up at night with trying to get her to bed.....it is times like this that make me realize how lucky I am to get to put my little princesses to sleep every night. They are so cute. Here a few random pictures.

Scotland riding her bike....very slowly. She is super cautious...which makes me crazy.

Here is Scotland crying after she fell off her bike. She falls because she is going to slow. I try to tell her that If she would go a little faster, she would have more control. But mom doesn't know anything ;)
Giving Scotland a little push.

On Saturday we went to Toad's (the arcade/mini golf place) with our friends Bree and Jay and thier little girls Kennedy and London. Here are some pics from one of those picture booths that we all loved growing up. They were so funny. I love the third one.....too cute!!!

4 YeArS Old......GoiNg On 18!!!!
Scotland just celebrated her 4th birthday party on Saturday. She actually won't be 4 until the 10th, but we had her party early. We rented out Elite Gymnastics. The kids had so much fun. They jumped in the pit, went on the swing and zip line, and jumped on the trampolines. They had a blast. It was such a fun party for that age group. We had about 25 little kids and even though it was pure chaos, it was such a fun way to celebrate.
Here is Scotland Jumping into the foam pit....Sometimes there was seriously like 10 little kids in the pit at once....a little crazy.

Scotland wanted a My Little Pony party.....much to my dismay. I wanted her to have a Barbie or Princess party. There were so many cute cakes.....just not for My Little Pony. I had to go to 4 stores before I could find one that had My Little Pony. And needless to say....it wasn't the cutest cake. But oh well Scotland loved it.
Present opening was probably the funniest part. As you can see the kids were all right on top of Scotland. They all wanted her to open their present. So they were just shoving their presents at her. She would open one and not even get to look at what she got before the next present was in her face. Sometimes the kids would get so excited that they would just open their present for her. She was all done opening about 25 gifts in about 3 minutes.

Here is Sweden playing on the mats at the party. She was in heaven with all those kids there.

Disneyworld....Where Dreams Come True

Sunny....80 degrees. 5-10 minute ride lines. Free flight, hotel, and Disneyworld tickets. Could this get any better. Well actually....Yes!!!! The best part of our vacation was watching Scotland and Sweden have so much fun. Scotland has been to Disneyland twice, but this was her first time at Disneyworld. She had so much fun and was such a good girl. Actually both girls were angels, even on the airplane...I know....Miracle. Here are some cute pics of the girls. Sweden wore her Minnie Mouse hat everyday and Scotland wore her Bell dress and jewelry that we bought the first day there. Seriously I shouldn't have packed any clothes for Scotland....just underwear to wear under her Bell dress. Two cute girls!!!
We had lunch with all the princesses....way fun. By the end of the lunch Sweden was covered in princess kisses. She was loving it. Scotland loved all the hugs and autographs.

2 cutie pies with Bell.....they were obviously looking at the other camera :)

Scotland and her favorite princess

At first Scotland wasn't sure about doing this photo.....she didn't like the idea of being in a shark's mouth. However, after she saw all the other kids, she thought it was pretty funny.

February 4, 2009

Scotland and her cousin Preslee were watching a movie "slumber party" style. Preslee is only a year and a half....so pretty much, it was just Scotland watching the movie and Preslee playing. Scotland kept tattling on Preslee. She would say "mom, I can't watch my movie because Preslee is too loud and crazy". Too funny!!! Cutest Little MOOOO Cow Ever!!!!
Seriously, have you ever seen a cuter cow??? I saw these pajamas and had to buy them. I can't believe how dang cute Swedie looks.

10 oF My FaVOriTe ThInGs!!!!!
1. My family, especially my little girls. It is so comforting to know that at the end of the day they will always be there for me with lots of loves and kisses!!!

2. Traveling. Only one week until we jet off to Disneyworld!!!!! Scotland actually won this vacation by winning Kiddie Kandids photo contest last fall. Now we will finally cash in....thank goodness for cute kids ;)
3. A clean house. This is a rare occasion. Between working full time, running Scotland to dance and gymnastics, and day to day chores, it seems like my house is always a disaster. So when it is clean.....I make sure that I enjoy it.

4. My TV Shows. I have way too many that I am addicted to. House, Bones, Grey's Anatomy, Gossip Girl, 90210, True Blood, American Idol, So you think you can dance, Fringe, Kath and Kim. I know that this is a serious problem....I need HELP!!!!

5. Blogging....and looking at all my friends blogs. I love seeing all of the pics of your cute kids and being able to see what you are all up to.

6. Shopping. Duh!

7. Eating out.....mmmmmm!!! My favorite places to eat are Little America Sunday Brunch, Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang's, Z Tejas.

8. I know this might sound weird, but one of my favorite things is my living room and kitchen. I love just hanging out in my PJ's with my family, eating and watching my shows....could life get any better?

9. My parent's theater room. Awesome!!! My dad built this amazing room in about 3 1/2 weeks. It has the raised seating, theater furniture, and a 10x7 foot projector screen. It seriously kicks butt!!!!

10. I know that I already said this, but I feel that it deserves one more go around. The most favorite part of my life is being a mom. My little girls mean the world to me and I love them so much. Anyone who is a parent understands this unexplainable love that you have for your children. It is more amazing than anything else I have ever witnessed. Today I am just reflecting on how much our Heavenly Father must love us, for him to give up his only son, so that we could live with him again. My girls are my life and I am truely blessed.

Fae Virgina Burrows
1920-2009

I have so many great memories of my grandma Fae. Even if I had days to tell you all the wonderful things about her, it still would not do her justice. She was so loving and caring. Whenever I would go over to her house I always felt loved and understood. She was a great listener and a great talker too. I could always count on grandma for a good conversation over a cold Diet Coke. If my grandma knew someone was coming over she always made sure they felt welcome. With me, she would always make sure there was a Diet Coke in the fridge, or the freezer if it was short notice. With Scotland she would always make sure she had pumpkin chocolate chip cookies on hand. No matter who it was, you could bet that she was doing something to make them feel important.

I have so many wonderful memories of my grandma growing up. When I was young I remember always wanting to sleepover at her house….probably because she catered to my every want and need. I remember sleeping in her bed with her and her always telling me bedtime stories. And if she ran out of stories, she would make some up. I also remember her always saving cardboard boxes, so that when I came over I could make Barbie houses out of them. She would help me cut out windows and doors. And she would buy fabric for curtains. On hot summer days she would help me make popsicles out of juice or buy me ice cream from the Ice cream truck.

I also will always remember the vacations we took together. Grandma would go on most of our vacations with us, even to Disneyland. Grandma was the only person who would go on the tea-cups with me, and she was always up for a churro. I remember before we went on our Mexican-Baja cruise, I was looking through Grandma’s closets and found a dress that I absolutely loved. Come to find out it was her wedding dress. She told me that if I wanted, I could wear it on our cruise….so I did. When she saw me in it all she could say was that she couldn’t believe how small she was when she got married. I felt honored to wear a dress that held so many memories for my grandma. I am sure that by the end of all our vacations, she was plenty ready to go home to peace and quiet. But whatever it was we did as a family, whether it was holidays, vacations, Sunday dinner, movies, or just hanging out, grandma was always there, and that made it even better.

My favorite memory of my grandma has to be Christmas time. Every year since my parents were married she has slept over at our house Christmas Eve and spent Christmas day with us. Growing up I always wanted to sleep in the guest bedroom with grandma and look out the window for Rudolf until we fell asleep. I can’t imagine Christmas without her.

As I got older I still loved spending time with my grandma. We would go to breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We both loved to dine out and dine well. My grandma loved a good steak or salmon, and loved to go to Applebee’s, or as she always mistakenly called it “Annabell’s”. Whenever my grandma went out she would always looked nice. She was really particular about her appearance. She loved nice clothes, perfume, and her most important item lipstick. I don’t remember a time when she went out…even if just to the mailbox….when she didn’t put on her lipstick. Whenever I would come to pick her up to go anywhere, she would always have her door open and be ready to go. She was always so considerate and never wanted to put anybody out. She loved her independence and she let people know that she could do things on her own. She definitely had spunk and was never afraid to give her opinion especially about politics and CNN.

I think that my grandma found the most joy in spending time with her two great granddaughters, Scotland and Sweden. Scotland loved to go to grandma Fae’s house, and would get upset if we drove through Washington Terrace without stopping by. Grandma would always have a little tea party with Scotland and she would let Scotland get water everywhere. No matter what Scotland did, she could never do any wrong. She would help Scotland feed the birds and water the flowers. Every time we would go over to grandma’s she would always have a new movie that she had gotten for Scotland and would sit and watch it with her. She loved my girls so much and loved to hold Sweden while she slept. I have never seen my grandma more happy than when she was spending time with my girls.

I am so glad that I got the chance to live with her for a year and a half while our house was being built. It was so good to be with her and to have Scotland get to know her. My grandma was such an amazing person and is the person that I most looked up to and will always strive to be like. She will truly be missed.

LiTerAllY she is HUGE!!!!
She also got her first tooth on January 12th....Definetely not the most fun day.

She LOVES her little tigger.

Sledding!!!!
Scotland went sledding with her cousin Preslee. She had a blast. She is quite the little dare devil. She wanted to go down by herself and she wanted to go on jumps. She is seriously crazy. Preslee wanted to go down so much, that even if there wasn't a tube, she would just start down on her bum. It was so funny. Brandon asked Scotland if she wanted to go on this other hill, that was a little bit bigger. She said yes, but on the way over she said "Daddy are we going all the way up the mountain?" She thought that they were going to go up the BIG hill, aka mountain. She is a hoot. Well here are some pics of us sledding.Me and Preslee

Scotland trying to pull daddy back up the hill.

Scotland and daddy going off a jump.

Scotland and daddy ReAdY-SeT-Go

Scotland crying because she didn't want preslee to go with her....she is a little poop sometimes.

Scotland and Preslee. They were like the little boy on the "Christmas Story" movie. They could barely walk or move because they were so bundled up. At one point preslee just fell over sideways....to cute!!!

Bonneville High School's

Scotland and her friend Seneca had a blast cheering and dancing
at the BHS basketball game last night.
They were so cute.
They did the "jump...shake your booty" cheer, and then did a little dance.
Here is a cute picture of them before they performed.

Okay Gals....I don't know about you guys, but I always feel like I am running out of new recipe ideas.

Christmas this year was so FUN!!!!
Scotland is at a perfect age for all the holiday MaGiC.
She was so excited this year. She was so excited that we couldn't get her to go to bed until after midnight.....Ughhh!!!!
She got so many presents, but one of her favorites was her new doll house.
She could seriously play with this for hours.
Sweden loved the bows, wrapping paper, and the tree.
You can see that she was trying her hardest to pull the ornaments off of grandma Beth's tree....she is so cute. She got a lot of toys that she loves to play with and throw across the room. We are so blessed to have 2 BeAuTiFuL little angels.
They are the best Christmas present Bran and I could ever have.
BeSt WiSheS for 2009!!!!
